Privacy Policy
Version 2026-10. Shootgeeks Photography and Videography follows the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and its rules: we collect data for clear purposes, handle it fairly, and protect it.
1. What we collect
- Account: your name, email, password (stored only as a secure hash) and when you accepted our policies.
- Booking: contact name, email and mobile number, event type, name, dates, venue and province, the package, and any notes.
- Payments: amounts, dates and payment reference numbers. We never receive your GCash, Maya or bank PIN or card details.
- Inspiration photos and style choices you add to a booking. Location data (GPS) is removed from photos when you upload them.
- Chats with GeekTalk and messages you send to the studio.
- Reviews you write.
2. Why we use it
- To manage your bookings, payments and deliveries, and to email you about them.
- To plan your shoot with the style references you share.
- To answer your questions through GeekTalk and the studio.
- To keep the website secure and prevent misuse, and to meet legal requirements.
We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell, rent or trade it.
3. Data Sharing Agreement
To run the website we share only the data each service needs, under their own security terms:
- MongoDB Atlas (database hosting) stores account and booking records.
- Cloudinary stores portfolio images and your private inspiration photos.
- Cloudflare Workers AI generates GeekTalk replies from your chat messages. Do not type passwords or payment details in the chat.
- Our email provider sends booking and account emails.
We also share data when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients and the studio. Only authorised studio staff can see your bookings and photos.
4. How long we keep it
- GeekTalk chats: 30 days.
- Messages sent to the studio from the chat: 90 days.
- Inspiration photos of cancelled or expired bookings: deleted 30 days after the booking closes.
- Booking and payment records: as long as needed for the business and the law, then deleted or anonymised.
5. How we protect it
Encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, secure login cookies, role-based access so only admins see admin data, rate limits against abuse, private storage for your photos, and a log of admin changes.
6. Cookies
We use only essential cookies: one keeps you logged in, one protects forms from forgery, and one remembers your chat. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
7. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to processing, get a copy of your data, or withdraw consent. Contact the studio using the details below. We may ask you to confirm your identity first.
8. Changes and contact
We will post updates here and tell you about important changes when you next book.
